Building Security Hospital Questions asked
Voting Question: how am i gonna handle this?
im 31 had a tough , harsh life , survived, missed out on most things in life like work, qualifications , building relationships , have the disorder BPD , which im not getting the right therapy or treatment for - services have failed me so far - have to go down other avenues to try and get the proper support and treatment. i also have ocd , ptsd and gad undiagnosed so i need further assesment. i get obsessive worries everyday, and racing thoughts where my thoughts are jumbled and scattered. i obsess and worry about everything - in particular my physical health and what will i do if the - '' few material possessions i own get damaged '' - like my internet and computer, playstation 2 , few dvds , few books and few hats. ive always had this obsession where my few material items have to be perfect , any hats i order online have to be near perfect - if their not, i feel paranoid someones damaged them on purpose to ruin my life. for example : if i found a bit of loose stitching on 1 of my hats just now, id dip into deep depression wondering how it got there or if someone did it on purpose... separately , my ankle was not long taken out of a cast, because it was operated on after i damaged the tendons, its still feels very weak and im waiting physio appointments, it has an ankle brace on right now.. finally : in a couple of weeks , the apartment ive stayed in for 5 years, on disability , the management have decided to rejuvenate my kitchen and bathroom , apparently everyone in my block is having it done... they are coming to rip out my kitchen, put new kitchens in - new tiling, a new bathroom, rip it out do the whole rooms out........they will be here for a total of 5 weeks.... they were just here before letting me choose my basic colour designs and type of designs for kitchen and bathrooms........2 guys and 1 girl surveying my flat. workmen will be here in a couple of weeks for 5 weeks, turning my kitchen and bathroom upside down to install new furnishings.....basic standard but better than before apparently. iam so worried......i dont want to leave my apartment all the time their here.......im worried about my few material possessions getting damaged........and my security being '' destabilised '' for 5 weeks... im sure i have hospital appointments in that time to, so i might have to leave my apartment with the workmen here.... this has really ruffled me this rejuvination plan by the apartment management............even though i knew months ago they were going to do this. but with them here this morning, surveying, getting all ready - how will i handle it ? the work apparently has to be done. my thoughts are racing and obssessions, what if this is damaged ? what if thats damaged ? what if something goes wrong with the workmen here ? moreResolved Question: Why was U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum attacked?.Why do many people hate jews?
James von Brunn carried a lifetime of hatred and an aging rifle to the entrance of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, authorities say, Critically injured in a hospital bed Thursday, the 88-year-old white supremacist was charged with murdering Stephen T. Johns, the black guard. According to interviews with family, friends and civil rights groups, von Brunn spent decades spewing hate toward Jews — a hatred that was nearing a crescendo in the weeks before the shooting. Brunn had talked about giving up "precious things" — even the computer from which he spread his angry diatribes against Jews, said fellow white supremacist John de Nugent. He talked about how he believed the media paid too much attention to the Holocaust, Olynnger said. On his Web site, von Brunn said he is a descendant of German immigrants who became convinced Jews controlled the government. Despite his tirades, his ex-wife was surprised by the charges against him. "He was a fine man and very much of an American," said Pat Sadowski, who lives in Florida and said von Brunn hasn't been a part of her life since their divorce more than 30 years ago. "He was like a John Wayne type." On Wednesday, von Brunn parked his 2002 red Hyundai in the middle of traffic outside the museum, according to an FBI affidavit. He grabbed a .22-caliber rifle and walked toward the building. He is charged with first-degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted, officials said. Johns' mother described her 6-foot-6 son as a "my teddy bear." Jacqueline Carter said her only child was a thoughtful man who remembered special dates like anniversaries and birthdays. "He was kind, he was gentle, he was loving," she said. "He loved people and he loved his job." As von Brunn walked into the doorway and raised his rifle again, two security guards fired at him at least eight times. He was shot in the face and fell backward outside the door. moreVoting Question: What do you think of my Resident evil Storyline?

ERMOSILLO, Mexico – Sobbing relatives waited outside a morgue Saturday to claim the bodies of 35 children killed in a day care fire in northern Mexico despite desperate attempts to evacuate babies and toddlers through the building's only working exit. One father crashed his pickup truck through the wall to rescue his child. One family buried 2-year-old Maria Magdalena Millan, dropping white roses onto her tiny coffin and attaching a Dora the Explorer balloon to the cross marking her grave. "I love you and I don't want to leave you here!" her mother screamed. Delfina Ruelas, 60, said her grandchild German Leon died of his burns Saturday morning, three days after his fourth birthday. She and her husband saw television news reports that the ABC day care was on fire Friday and rushed over that evening. "I thought he wasn't that burned and that we would find him OK, but he was very burned," said Ruelas, dissolving into tears outside the morgue in the northern city of Hermosillo, where she waited along with 30 other relatives. "They operated on him yesterday, and he held on, but today he couldn't hold on." Firefighters carried injured children through the front door — the building's only working exit — and through large holes that a civilian knocked into the walls before rescue crews arrived, according to a fire department official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the fire. Noe Velasquez, an employee at a nearby auto parts store who helped pull out five toddlers, said the father of one of the children rammed his pickup truck through a wall. Velasquez did not know if the man's child survived. "I didn't sleep last night. I've never gone through anything like that in all my life," he said. The tragedy once again raised questions about building safety in Mexico: Officials cracked down on code violations following a deadly stampede at a nightclub last year and a fire at a disco nine years ago. A May 26 inspection found that the day care building — a converted warehouse with a few windows mounted high up — complied with safety standards, said Daniel Karam, the director of Mexico's Social Security Institute, which outsourced services to the privately run day care. Asked if the single functioning exit constituted a safety code violation, Karam only repeated that the building had passed the inspection, although he conceded that the security requirements might have to be re-evaluated. "We always have to be open to improvements, especially when we have a tragedy that has so moved us," Karam said. Guadalupe Arvizu, who was visiting her injured 2-year-old grandson at a hospital, said the building has an emergency exit but it could not be opened on the day of the fire. She did not know why. "The place is in bad condition. It's a warehouse. There are no windows in the classrooms," said Arvizu, whose daughter — the boy's mother — is a caretaker at the day care but was not injured in the fire. The death toll rose to 35 after several children died overnight. At least 41 children and six adults were hospitalized, Sonora state Gov. Eduardo Bours said. The adults included staffers at the day care and civilians who tried to help. Some of the children had third-degree burns, the Hermosillo fire department official said. There were an estimated 142 children in the day care at the time, with ages ranging from 6 months to 5 years, and six staffers to look after them, Bours said at a news conference Saturday. The ratio is in keeping with legal standards, Karam said. A 3-year-old girl with burns over 80 percent of her body was sent by military transport to be treated at Shriners Hospital for Children Northern California, said Carlos Gonzalez Gutierrez, Consul General for Mexico based in Sacramento. The girl's injuries could require months of treatment, which will be free of charge, Gonzalez Gutierrez said. One parent is traveling with the girl, and will be housed nearby. "It's going to be challenging. The survivability is about 50 percent. A lot of it is how deep the burn is and where it's located and how bad is the smoke inhalation," said Dr. Tina Palmieri, assistant chief of burns for Shriners'. Others were sent to a hospital in the western Mexico city of Guadalajara that has a special burn unit. Velasquez said he and several other people rushed to the day care when they saw smoke. Teachers already had lined up some of the children outside but the very smallest were trapped inside, some of them in their cribs. Velasquez said he pulled out limp toddlers without knowing if they were dead or alive. The fire started at an adjoining tire and car warehouse leased by the state government, Bours said. The blaze eventually spread to the roof of the day care, sending flames raining down on the children, according to the fire department official. Firefighters took two hours to control the blaze, the cause of which was still uwhat do you guys think of this? moreResolved Question: what will i do if i end up spending the rest of my life alone, cut off from society?

My purse was stolen from me while I was at a shopping center. A man drove up and snatched the purse from my shoulder hurting me in the process. I had to go to the hospital and now my arm is in a sling. The shopping center has a security guard but he was behind the building asleep while on the clock! Do I have a case here? And if so, against who and what type of lawyer do I need? moreResolved Question: Why do free people protest war?
I am glad my country helps take care of the world. US gives out over $400 Billion of aid every year, globally. That's food, clothes, streets, water and water treatment plants, schools, medical needs-wheelchairs, hospitals, medicine etc, housing, obviously list goes on. Not to mention the security needed to make sure these supplies, and UN aid workers, make it to the objective so mothers can feed their children. Or make sure workers are not killed while building plants. Why do we need security for that? bc islamic extremist groups like well known Al Qaeda and Taliban to name a few, will try by any means necessary to hijack supplies and kill the "western helpers", weather it be US soldiers, UK, UN peacekeepers, their own countrymen, own women and children.... It's just that some of the folks I know who critisized US and Bush and tried to use civilian casualities as a platform for the anti war rhetoric, were not concerned when an 8 yr old sunni boy sees his mother shot in the head by an AK, right in front of him in the middle of the street. Why do some demand justice from the United States and no one else?June Cleaver... hon... the bible says thou shalt not commit murder. And yes, there is a differece. Except security forces, and I would love medical, but I've heard it's nearly impossible to get. They are building a brand new hospital though at my base, and actually offering more services, so they might have more jobs. My husband is active duty, so I want to be stationed with him. We are at Macdill. moreResolved Question: I'm an American married to a filipina, I plan to retire in 11 years and move to the Philippines?
I'm an American that is married to a Filipina. I plan to retire at age 55 (that’s 11 years from now), and would like a safe location to go. I would like to purchase land now and once retired build a home. I prefer to be around the local's but the wife likes security and a gated community, maybe like in the USA with many amenities. I prefer a simple life with an awesome view (beach or mountain). I would like to be close enough to a good hospital (just in case) police station, market and restaurants. Because I'll be retired my budget isn't a typical RICH American type. As I have visited many times to Mindanao and had many relatives and others ask for money. The Philippines offer many things that I love; the climate and views are tranquil and peaceful. I believe that the people that I have met are the friendliest in the world. Is Cebu recommended? Or is there other place that may offer better investment opportunities? I thank you for any help Mark moreResolved Question: Why I am being harassed and under full surveillance following going to a shooting?
so about 4.5 months ago there was a shooting next to my building. Stupidly, i went to go see it, as I was seriously thinking bout a career in law enforcement. At the scene I was looking @ everything very carefully trying to make sense of it, as I am an avid watcher of CSI. So I guess my body language looked a little too suspicious, n a cop came to my apt asking questions. i know he lied saying that he is canvassing he area as none of my neighbours got questioned. He asked where I was @ the time fo shooting, i said @ home on my computer, which I was. He asked me sarcastically - really. I was really taken aback and realized for the 1st time, oh my God he is here to check me out. I went to see the crime scene after the cops had come, as I can see clearly from my window n balcony. So anyways, now its been 4.5 months, i am under full surveillance. they go to my clinical roation, befriend the security @ the hospital n talk bout me. They follow me, try to copy my body language. I guess, they think i am a bad person as I have naively called the police on a few occassions earlier in roommate situation n neighbour situation. Local cop went as far as telling my roommate that I am going to die alone. This was last year. Following with another cop came ot my place and said i was harassing my roomate. I swear to God i wasnt. My luck n life just suck. I feel so bad, what did i deserve to be talked about in bad taste among Toronto Police n my community. They have involved civilians from my community, as sometimes i talk in my language. Now one thing i am not sure about is that who is workingn the case right now - police or another agency. I am feeling very frustrated and feel liek my life has been taken away for the last 4.5 months. Please telme what are my options. I cant' go on like this nymore :(I did go to the head office of the police. They are denying it. However, when my friends and family are with me even they can feel it. Even they can point out the ones undercover. I work with dx and nurses, I am not suffering from schizophrenia or paranoia. I am not scared of them as I have done nothing wrong. I just have the intrusiveness in my life and them going into my phone records and all. Its just really harassing. moreResolved Question: st.mary's abandoned hospital in morpeth UK, haunted?
Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows anything about st.mary's hospital in morpeth in the north east of england UK? I did some research on it over the internet and i know it is an old abandoned mental hospital. I gathered over research that it was built just before the first world war and was used by soldiers then it became a hospital for people with TB then finally a phsyciatric hospital. Me and my friends have driven up to the place at night and god its scary! you come off the moterway and drive through country and feilds for a long time and your basically in the middle of no where just surrounded by farming feilds and woods then all of a sudden this tiny village comes out of no where! its like somthing off a horror film really old fashioned small village with not many houses. Of course we couldn't go inside because there are security guards and guard dogs watching the hospital but i know some people who have gone in when they wernt there... they say you walk a fair while through woods and ive seen lots of photo's on the internet of inside the hospital and it looks horrible. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was haunted? im thinking it is because of how old it is especially if it used to be a hospital for soldiers and people with TB around about the first world war. It just interests me and id like to know if you knew any stories about the place? Like i said i have tried to research it but all ive found it photos not many stories about the actual place and what went on there. thanks in advance if anyone can help! :) xx moreVoting Question: Whsat does this dream mean?.... After that I woke up.. What does this dream mean? moreResolved Question: Is it legal for a former landlord to do this?
I am going through an application process for a new apartment. In checking my previous landlord references one came back claiming that I still owed him money. Here is the issue. I don't!!! I gave him 30 days written notice (as stated in the lease. Which was month by month). We moved out after 2 weeks. He was still paid though. We fixed some screw holes we made and some holes that were there when we moved in. We painted (white). He was actually impressed by that. He even kept a portion of my security deposit. He claimed my (declawed) cats scratched his rug. I didn't fight it. I was just happy to leave. 9 months before we moved I had a baby. She was in the hospital for a month and I was late on my rent. He tried to evict me saying I refused to pay rent. The judge found in my favor though because he was refusing to accept payment. Luckily I still have the court verdict and ALL of my receipts. I sent it to the place I am trying to get into. I should mention that I also contacted the city building inspector when I moved out. He found more violations than I ever imagined. I think my former landlord is giving me a bad reference (lying) as retaliation. Is that legal? I left the apartment in better condition than I moved into. I paid him for time I didn't even live there. I didn't fight him about the security deposit, although I know I could have won that case as well. Also, should I call him on it? Should I send him the reciepts and court verdict? Should I remind him that we cleaned and painted? moreResolved Question: PEEP PEEP! A mother was arrested late Wednesday night, for allegedly stabbing her 2-year-old daughter with a pair of scissors and then trying to strangle her. According to officials, the woman claimed a cult was stalking her. The violence broke out inside the laundry room of the Heywood-Wakefield Place apartment building. Gardner police say two residents and a security guard helped save the little girl after hearing the commotion. 'I THOUGH SHE MIGHT ALREADY BE DEAD' According to police, 38-year-old Susan Johnson stabbed the child in the torso, neck and head. Security guard Douglas Wait was about to lock up the laundry room on the second floor when he saw the attack. Wait grabbed the scissors out of the mother's hands, police said. The woman then allegedly grabbed a dryer cord and tried to strangle her daughter. "The woman had a power cord from the dryer wrapped around the little girl's throat. The girl was full of blood… I thought she might already be dead," said Real Belliveau, who helped save the little girl. "Swearing… said she was going to kill the kid. 'I have to kill her. I have to kill her.'" "I kind of jumped on her, in fact, I kind of regret not punching her right away, just to get her to release the power cord," said Belliveau. "She had surprisingly amazing strength... She had the thing wrapped around the poor kid's throat… It was just an awful scene, something I will never forget. It was terrible." The three witnesses were able to restrain the woman until officers arrived on the scene. CHILLING 911 CALL RECOUNTS ATTACK Police have released the chilling 911 call placed by the security guard who discovered a mother attacking her daughter with a pair of scissors. Woman: Die, Die! Security Guard: Stop! I need a police officer, 192 Central St., 4th floor. I got a woman in here that's stabbing herself and a child. Dispatcher: OK, stabbing her and a child? Security Guard: I'm trying to get the knife away from her if I can. (Screams) Security Guard: There was a woman here in the laundry room, stabbing herself and a little boy with a pair of scissors. I feel compelled to tell you that any solution the Gov't can come up with for health care reform cannot include health insurance companies, and here's why: They're the problem. Hospitals make money by offering medical services for money. Doctors make money by offering medical services for money. Insurance companies make money by providing NO SERVICE in exchange for money. Their goal is to Not Pay for medical service. That's kind of their business model. Shouldn't we leave them out of the equation of health care reform, except for private individuals who want to gamble their money and families health on Fill In The Blank Insurance company doing the right thing? And before you start lecturing me about how bad the Gov't would do the job, I will tell you that NOT ALL government is broken, and when it is--it needs to be fixed, so the citizens get quality for their money. I'd say government run agencies like police, fire departments, the water purification systems, the air traffic controllers, the people who build and maintain our Interstate Hwy systems. Heck, even the Post Office has been a bargain for decades, until recently, when innovations (aka email) has put serious hurting on their financial security. Here is just one example, more to come! http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/11/15/60minutes/main529601.shtml moreResolved Question: How is the money created by quantitative easing best managed?
By handing it out to the already employed, who have made good provision for themselves, especially in the public sector, so they can spend it clubbing and buying the latest 4x4 SUVs? This kickstarts the economy back into action, and provides jobs in nightclubs and foreign assembly lines. By handing it to the poor, so that their lot may be a little more tolerable at the risk of alienating those creating whatever wealth is left? By careful investment in sound industry, so that future wealth may be built up, even if this means austerity for everyone, and neither rich nor poor feeling better off at election time? By knocking down old schools and hospitals and replacing them with brand new designer ones with modern styling and a more commercial business-like and security-conscious image? Or by making a big bonfire of it and having a grand party and to hell with tomorrow? moreResolved Question: Top 5 Lies About Israel’s Assault on Gaza? Can This Be True?
Lie #1) Israel is only targeting legitimate military sites and is seeking to protect innocent lives. Israel never targets civilians. The Gaza Strip is one of the most densely populated pieces of property in the world. The presence of militants within a civilian population does not, under international law, deprive that population of their protected status, and hence any assault upon that population under the guise of targeting militants is, in fact, a war crime. Moreover, the people Israel claims are legitimate targets are members of Hamas, which Israel says is a terrorist organization. Hamas has been responsible for firing rockets into Israel. These rockets are extremely inaccurate and thus, even if Hamas intended to hit military targets within Israel, are indiscriminate by nature. When rockets from Gaza kill Israeli civilians, it is a war crime. Hamas has a military wing. However, it is not entirely a military organization, but a political one. Members of Hamas are the democratically elected representatives of the Palestinian people. Dozens of these elected leaders have been kidnapped and held in Israeli prisons without charge. Others have been targeted for assassination, such as Nizar Rayan, a top Hamas official. To kill Rayan, Israel targeted a residential apartment building. The strike not only killed Rayan but two of his wives and four of his children, along with six others. There is no justification for such an attack under international law. This was a war crime. Other of Israel’s bombardment with protected status under international law have included a mosque, a prison, police stations, and a university, in addition to residential buildings. Moreover, Israel has long held Gaza under siege, allowing only the most minimal amounts of humanitarian supplies to enter. Israel is bombing and killing Palestinian civilians. Countless more have been wounded, and cannot receive medical attention. Hospitals running on generators have little or no fuel. Doctors have no proper equipment or medical supplies to treat the injured. These people, too, are the victims of Israeli policies targeted not at Hamas or legitimate military targets, but directly designed to punish the civilian population. Lie #2) Hamas violated the cease-fire. The Israeli bombardment is a response to Palestinian rocket fire and is designed to end such rocket attacks. Israel never observed the cease-fire to begin with. From the beginning, it announced a “special security zone” within the Gaza Strip and announced that Palestinians who enter this zone will be fired upon. In other words, Israel announced its intention that Israeli soldiers would shoot at farmers and other individuals attempting to reach their own land in direct violation of not only the cease-fire but international law. Despite shooting incidents, including ones resulting in Palestinians getting injured, Hamas still held to the cease-fire from the time it went into effect on June 19 until Israel effectively ended the truce on November 4 by launching an airstrike into Gaza that killed five and injured several others. Israel’s violation of the cease-fire predictably resulted in retaliation from militants in Gaza who fired rockets into Israel in response. The increased barrage of rocket fire at the end of December is being used as justification for the continued Israeli bombardment, but is a direct response by militants to the Israeli attacks. Israel's actions, including its violation of the cease-fire, predictably resulted in an escalation of rocket attacks against its own population. Lie #3) Hamas is using human shields, a war crime. There has been no evidence that Hamas has used human shields. The fact is, as previously noted, Gaza is a small piece of property that is densely populated. Israel engages in indiscriminate warfare such as the assassination of Nizar Rayan, in which members of his family were also murdered. It is victims like his dead children that Israel defines as “human shields” in its propaganda. There is no legitimacy for this interpretation under international law. In circumstances such as these, Hamas is not using human shields, Israel is committing war crimes in violation of the Geneva Conventions and other applicable international law. Lie #4) Arab nations have not condemned Israel’s actions because they understand Israel’s justification for its assault. The populations of those Arab countries are outraged at Israel’s actions and at their own governments for not condemning Israel’s assault and acting to end the violence. Simply stated, the Arab governments do not represent their respective Arab populations. The populations of the Arab nations have staged mass protests in opposition to not only Israel's actions but also the inaction of their own governments and what they view as either complacency or complicity in Israel's crimes. Moreover, the refusal of Arab nations to take action to come to the aid of the PalestMoreover, the refusal of Arab nations to take action to come to the aid of the Palestinians is not because they agree with Israel’s actions, but because they are submissive to the will of the US, which fully supports Israel. Egypt, for instance, which refused to open the border to allow Palestinians wounded in the attacks to get medical treatment in Egyptian hospitals, is heavily dependent upon US aid, and is being widely criticized within the population of the Arab countries for what is viewed as an absolute betrayal of the Gaza Palestinians. Even Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been regarded as a traitor to his own people for blaming Hamas for the suffering of the people of Gaza. Palestinians are also well aware of Abbas' past perceived betrayals in conniving with Israel and the US to sideline the democratically elected Hamas government, culminating in a counter-coup by Hamas in which it expelled Fatah (the military wing of Abbas' Palestine Authority) from the Gaza...Strip. While his apparent goal was to weaken Hamas and strengthen his own position, the Palestinians and other Arabs in the Middle East are so outraged at Abbas that it is unlikely he will be able to govern effectively. Lie #5) Israel is not responsible for civilian deaths because it warned the Palestinians of Gaza to flee areas that might be targeted. Israel claims it sent radio and telephone text messages to residents of Gaza warning them to flee from the coming bombardment. But the people of Gaza have nowhere to flee to. They are trapped within the Gaza Strip. It is by Israeli design that they cannot escape across the border. It is by Israeli design that they have no food, water, or fuel by which to survive. It is by Israeli design that hospitals in Gaza have no electricity and few medical supplies with which to treat the injured and save lives. And Israel has bombed vast areas of Gaza, targeting civilian infrastructure and other sites with protected status under ininternational law. No place is safe within the Gaza Strip.http://www.foreignpolicyjournal.com/articles/2009/01/03/hammond_top-5-lies-about-israels-assault-on-gaza.htmlThis is a question my friend... Last tuesday I took my father to the doctor because he had been suffering with a severe headache all week and he was begininng to have weakness on his right side. Here's a little history: He's 52 years old, has had 3 heart attacks, a history of high blood pressure I was pretty sure he was having a stroke. We arrived at the doctor's office at 10:45am and the doctor examined him and decided to admit him to the hospital for testing. Here's a timeline of the events (I wrote everything down once they started making me mad) 11:20am-Filled out paperwork for admission and was told to wait until his room was cleaned 11:35am- Still waiting for a room. I asked if someone was going to come get him and expressed concern that they were wasting precious time if he was having a stroke. So, admissions called again for someone to come and get him. 11:45-Still waiting for a room. I told the woman "If you don't get someone down here right now to help my father, I'll give you a reason to get someone down here." At this point, security was called on me and I was told to sit down and be quiet or I would have to leave. 11:55- My father was FINALLY in his room 12:20-no nurse has come in and no one has checked his vitals. 12:35-nurse comes in and introduces himself and gets my dad into a gown (still no vitals check) 12:45- I again express concern over the wasting of time!! I am told they have an order in which things are done 1:00pm-Nurse tries to start an IV. She is unsuccseful and says she'll get someone else (still have not taken his vitals) 1:30pm- a heart sonogram is performed 1:45- an IV is started 2:00pm--my dad is now unable to lift his right hand more than 2 inches off the bed. No one seems too concerned 2:20--his vitals are taken 3:00pm-my dad is sent for a chest x-ray, an EKG, and a CT scan 4:45pm-My dad is back in his room. His head is hurting so bad that he requests pain medication 5:00pm--Nurse states bloodwork, chest x-ray, and EKG are all normal. Says it will be tomorow before the CT scan is read because the radiologist left already 5:05pm-I demand to speak with the charge nurse. I tell her to get the CT scan read and I want to speak to my father's doctor. 5:30pm-My father's doctor comes in. She has the CT results and he has a massive brain bleed. At this point, things picked up. They gave him some pain meds and contacted another hospital to send him to because they could not treat him there. 5:45pm--an ambulance arrives and takes my father to another hospital 6:30pm--My father arrives at the new hospital. Where his vitals are immeditaley taken and he has another CT scan. He meets with the neurologist and is scheduled for surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. My dad sat at the first hospital from 11:20am - 3:00 pm with no tests done when he was having stroke symptoms. It turned out not to be a stroke, but he did have an aneurysm from a head injury that occured a few weeks ago. When he arrived at the second hospital, he could not speak and could not move his right side at all. He had to have 4 holes drilled into his head and the doctor said blood shot out like a geyser. If I had not thrown as many fits as I did, his initial CT scan wouldn't have evn been read until the following day. The surgeon that did the emergency surgery said if the pressure had built up for a few more hours he would have probably died or had permanent brain damage. It had already built up so much that his brain shifted. Do you think legal action could be taken against the first hospital for providing such poor care and allowing him to sit there with stroke symptoms for over 4 hours before they even began to do anything?***Just to make it clear, I'm not seeking money. I want something done to this hospital. They are not providing proper care for patients and I don't want anyone to go through this if they don't have to.*** moreResolved Question: I had a dream of my dad , what does it mean ?
I've never met my dad, he died a month before i was born , and he's family never really admitted me as their niece , only met them once in 22 years nearly , I dreamed of him last night , i met him for the first time in my dream , but it was weird as he was in prison but it looked it was more of a hospital .( he did die in hospital after an op that he went for a bit too late for the doctors to do something), but in my dream i was afraid to meet him scared as i was told he's dangerous and it was like a high security prison and i was afraid of the people kept in there . i met him but is all of a blur as i can't remember saying i am his daughter just that we were getting on so well together , driving in a car which was stolen , looked like he broke out of prison for a moment but then he was still in there next day and i would go and visit him and talk to him spend most of my day in that prison that looked more like an hospital and on the outside this building looked like the place i went to high school. to top it all off my dad didn't look at all like the real one in the only picture i had of him . the only thing that resembles are the hair . eyes and lips and the age of 23 that he was when he died.i forgot to mention that my mom never told me where he is buried because of the bad relation with my dad's family, there are just about 3 weeks until is 8 Th of march when there are 22 years since he's passed away. it was so emotional this dream as when i woke up i started crying . can anyone tell me what it means ? thank you moreVoting Question: Would you vote for me for president?
Fiscal Policies: • A flat tax on income of 13% must be implemented • A national sales tax of 7% must accompany flat tax. • Social Security should be funded with 3% of annually collected income, and only those who have worked in the US for more than 15 years should qualify to receive retiree pension. • Under my presidency those earning less than 50,000 will be exempt from paying income tax for the first 2 years to stimulate the economy • Paying the national debt should be our most important priority. • All American companies must produce a minimum of 30% of their products in the US to be exempt from a tax of 45%. Companies can continue to use foreign raw materials to make their products. Companies deciding to return to the US should receive a tax break of 5% for the first 5 years. Social Issues: • Abortion in late term should be made illegal unless the mother’s life is in real danger. • Married women wishing to get abortions should notify her husband 72 hours before the procedure to receive consent; if the woman has an illegal abortion, she/practitioner will be charged with a felony. • There should be an amendment stating that no state shall prohibit two consenting adults from partaking in a civil union. • The constitutional right to bear arms must be protected. Guns have been an important part in the culture of countless Americans. Local or state governments do not have the right to make laws that prohibit the lawful possession and purchase of firearms as it violated the second amendment of the constitution of the United States. The sale and possession of illegal unlicensed guns must be confronted through aggressive measures. Gun sales must be conducted by licensed gun retailers and sales must be reserved for those who have no previous record of violent crimes or psychiatric disorders. The Firearm manufacturing industry should not be subject to discriminatory taxation. Those licensed gun owners wishing to sell a gun to another licensed gun owner must do so in their local police precinct, to transfer ownership. National Security: • We need a project to start right away to build a technologically advanced tall border. • Troops should be placed in the border to eliminate all drug smuggling. Outright war needs to be declared on drug, illegal weapon, and human trafficking. • Raids need to be increased dramatically to capture illegal aliens; a law also needs to be passed to make sure that offenders are deported 72 hours after they are processed. • Citizenship should be reserved for only those born of legal residents and citizens. • All processing of illegal aliens should be placed on Mexico’s national debt with the United States. • Employers and property renters must be make sure that their workers/renters are legal in the United States, if they fail to do so they should receive a large fine. • The federal funding of sanctuary cities should be cut. Energy: • A project to build 10 nuclear power plants and a new more efficient energy grid in a total of 15 years should be put into effect immediately. • The wind turbine/solar panel industry needs to boom in this country. This can be achieved by giving them large tax breaks. • My goal is that 90% of our energy comes from nuclear, solar, wind, and natural gas. • We need to drill our own oil to cut our dependence until we achieve full energy independence. • We need to make sure that we end up exporting more oil than what we import. Education: • I want a project to build 25 federal universities in 35 states that specialize in hundreds of careers for students. These universities should be funded by the government and must be extremely technologically advanced and have the best trained professionals in all their colleges. The academic routines of these schools must be rigorous to prepare our youth for the competitive world. • Local governments should receive funds to make contracts with broadband companies to ensure that all schools have internet access. Advanced research centers and libraries should also be built. Health: • I want a plan where main hospitals around the country receive an annual $4 billion dollars so that they treat those who earn less than 70,000 dollars. • I also want a generic prescription program where the formulas for all brand name drugs can be purchased to make sure that cheap drugs are accessible to those over the age of 65 or families earning less than 70,000. moreResolved Question: What party am I, rep or dem?
Fiscally conservative I want a new energy system that would include nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, and natural gas. I also want to drill at home in order to use our own oil, and export more than what we import. I oppose abortion but women have that right but should do it with their own money, not government money. There should also be a law where women must get consent from their husbands 72 hours prior to getting an abortion. Social security should be funded with 3% of all income tax collected annually, and only those living the US for more than 15 years should qualify. I support building more advanced infrastructure including a technologically advanced high border between the US and Mexico. I want raids increased by 50% and ICE doubled, i also want troops and mines on the border. I support Latin America's fight against drug trafficking, and should send troops. There should be a policy that illegal aliens should be deported no later than 3 days after their arrest and processing. Citizenship should be reserved only for children born to legal residents or citizens. Defense spending should be cut by 25%. Our military should be used for defense only(including direct threats), and we should have no allies, just trading partners. The embargo against Cuba should be lifted. I support civil unions between any two consenting adults. I support federally funded stem cell research I want a law where we would pay main hospitals around the country $7 billion dollars each annually to treat patients that earn less than $250,000 or don't have private med insurance or thru their employer. Welfare should be reformed so that only those who work/study can qualify. The federal government should not be involved in education when it comes to grades PK-12. It should only build federal colleges/universities that are extremely competitive, the most advanced possible research centers, and very academically rigorous. These schools should specialize in different areas including the arts. Students whose parents are under the poverty level should receive a federal scholarship.Local governments should make contracts with private internet service providers to make sure that broadband internet is available in all schoolsBoss H...i said cut defense spending my friend. moreResolved Question: Was I spooked by a ghost?

One of my very close friends has built a credit card debt of over 4,000. How this happened was she went manic, being she has Bi Polar Disorder, and Schizophrenia, and after racking up 4k in debt, hallucinations, and insanity, she was hospitalized for 4 months in a Mental Hospital. All of this is documented. She receives Supplemental Security Income which isn't Taxable so it cant be considered a asset or income at all. Its Government Money so at least they cant garnish her check. She used to live with her mother, now she lives in a Community Residence. She is Mentally Disabled. She doesn't possess the comprehension to understand credit card interest, she doesn't want to file bankrupt chapter 7 because she believes her credit score will be destroyed for the rest of her life no matter what anyone tells her. I tell her if your just paying the bare minimum payment, your not even touching the debt you owe, your basically paying the interest of your debt. If your debt is 4,000, and your paying 15 dollars a month, plus 15% interest every month, you will never get out of debt. She doesn't understand this. So I was wondering can you file for undue hardship for credit card debt? moreResolved Question: What do i do with my life?
Throughout my life i have had a horrible experience. I had willm's tumor (Cancer in the kidney). For years i was in bad schools and ended up in many situations that the police (not shitty school security) have to become involved. Ive been beaten up, threatened to die, and to what i consider extreme bullying by a good total of 30-40 people in my school. (An incredible amount of emotions were being bottled up by this time and will continue untill the 10th grade)After 7th grade i moved and things began to get a bit better yet i still had alot of problems at home with my brother (who has been abusive since i was in 5th grade) and my parents who did a cruel thing and told me they were getting divorced if i didnt do better in school, which just made things worse. When i hit 9th grade things got alot better yet there was also another problem that had been with me since 5th grade, which was an overweight problem as well as very strange gynocomastia. Socially, i was "ok" in ninth grade yet i also had a videogame addiction which had followed me since i had cancer. Things were getting better since i picked up the guitar and i stopped my video game addiction by march of that year(last year). I had a great summer and by the end of it i decided to begin loosing weight and from mid august to mid september i got from 177 to 159. As my birthday came up in october 7th things were just getting better and better yet i had this irritation problem building up. I picked up swimming again(i was in many championships when i was little and when i had cancer) yet i stopped by the end of that month. By the swimming i dropped another 2 pounds. During late october i began getting intense mood swings. I went to the hospital after a huge epidemic of crying, laughter, depressions and huge stress. In early november my mood swings ended but i obtained depression and anxiety issues. I had several incidents during that month of me seeing people and seeing them dissapear, as well as hearing voices telling me to give in and worship the devil. The worst one made me yell out "Take my soul" and i ended up seeing someone appear right next to me and then just kept on walking. The depression worssened along with a huge amount of stress (Forgot to mention since late october i began seeing a psychiatrist). By learly to mid december i was at the point of crying to how bad i felt and how stressed out i was with my school work and emotions at the same time, since i was trying to maintain a good grade. My parents took me on a so called "vacation" during christmas break. The reason why i quoted vacation was that when we went down to florida we spent 80% of the time buying things for my older brother and his apartment there. When we came back i was getting ready for my surgery to remove most of my gynocomastia in which i had been waiting for over a year to do.(The appointment was set for me to wait a year). I got two extra weeks off of school for some recovery yet i still am recovering today. about a week ago i had gotten my weight down to 155 and i stopped eating as much as i used to. I began eating only once a day because i was afraid of gaining weight again and for the past two days i didnt eat yet my mom found out and kind of made me eat today. My weight dropped to 151. I was trying to become anorexic on purpose. I am worried if im going to do more things to hurt myself. I kind of think im doing this for medical attention in which is something that i love having, its somewhat something i lookforward to anytime something happens. Or i might just be doing this for attention in general. Im worried i might go a step higher and do something worse not to mention the suicide attempts i had during my depression stage. Since i stopped eating i have had my energy drained almost completely, im having alot of concentration issues, i have felt kind of light headed and i nearly collapsed a few hours ago in the bathroom. Im pretty worried and i dont get to see my therapist untill friday, and i dont want to tell my parents cause all they will do is yell at me, and no i have no one else to tell this to because my friends wouldent really care too much, they would laugh at me or they would just not understand because their lives have gone pretty much perfect so far. I am wondering what to do?!(I did not want to type this all again so I am using this from another question I had yesterday) My problem today is that I felt even worse today, in fact ive never felt so bad that I felt like I was dying inside, and I still have to go to school with this. My parents wont give me a day off because I already had my so called “Vacation” when I was out recovering from surgery. Today I got home and I still feel like shit but a little bit better from earlier. I feel a bit empty headed and stress is just building up more more and more and im up to the point of crying now. Im pretty worried and i dont get to see my phychiatrist untill friday, and i dont want to tell my parents cause all they will do is yell at me, and no i have no one else to tell this to because my friends wouldent really care too much, they would laugh at me or they would just not understand because their lives have gone pretty much perfect so far. I am wondering what to do?! P.s. Things i forgot to mention. 1. About a week before i left to florida i began taking lexapro. 2. I began getting insomnia from january 3rd to 10th 3. after the surgery my depression seemed to have faded away along with my anxiety and irritation issues. Yet it began building up again when i stopped eating. moreResolved Question: My wife cheated on me. I love her. How I can help her deal with the guilt and get past this?
Here is the situation.. sorry if it is lengthy: Some background info: Met at the age 19. We are now both 28. We were married after a year and half of dating. In this year and a half I did not have physical sex with her, because I felt that if she was really the person for me to marry then I could respect her as a woman and wait. At any rate.. after 3 years of marriage, she became pregnant with our first child who is now a 5 year old boy that we love so much. Then a few years later she gave birth to our 3 year old daughter. This woman who I love gave me the two most special gifts that I could ever receive on the earth. Time ensued and we progressed through raising our children and both trying to work full-time/part-time jobs. Somewhere along the way we became more insensitive to each others needs and more sensitive to our children's needs. Somewhere in the eight years we have been together I started to take her for granted almost like a child takes their mother for granted. I expected her to do to much. I worked full-time and I expected her to work almost full-time and do most of the primary child-care. Don't get me wrong.. I took care of my kids and loved them but only when I really had to. Anyways I'm sure you get my point so I'll move on. Throughout my marriage I never felt that I could cheat on my wife and I never have. That's not saying I never thought about another woman in a sexual manner or looked at pornography, because I have (I don't like doing it.. but it fulfilled my instinctual needs). My wife on the other hand I knew was a good person and would never cheat on me or look at pornography. She is a great mother, wife, and friend. Recently we decided to try a new lifestyle of traveling around the USA. Our first destination we decided was to florida for the winter, mainly because her mother who has cancer lives there and because my wife gets depressed in the winter. So I found some work there as a union electrician and she found a nursing contract since she is a nurse (travel-nurse now). While working at her new hospital in FL her trainer or preceptor in the emergency department was a single 31 year old male. Through work interaction he flirted with her... casually and friendly. She then proceeded to ask another nurse for his phone number. From there things got out of hand and they would go out on breaks and kiss in the parking lot or talk and text etc etc. Being a new job and place I was weary of new people that she talked to. One night she texted me asking if she could go out after work for breakfast with some other nurses. At first I said no because I didn't feel comfortable with her building relationships in a temporary place that we would only be for 3 months. Later that night I texted her back and said it would be okay for her to have breakfast with the other nurses. That night her male preceptor was called off his shift early so he convinced her to say she was sick and she left with him. He took her back to his apartment and they talked, danced, and eventually had sex (something she says she didn't want but did because she felt like it was okay to do because she didn't feel loved at home). At any rate, the next day, I saw her texting someone and asked her who it was.. She said a friend from work. I asked to see the text chat log and she wouldn't let me see it and blamed me for being paranoid and obsessive. She deleted the chat log but showed me the person in her contact list.. A girl's name. I immediately told her.. what if its a guy your texting and your just disguising it under a girls name. She convinced me that I was just paranoid and told me that she only loved me and tried to kiss me on the ear etc and made me feel better. Later the next day she received a call from her travel nurse agency stating that the facility had terminated her contract for Unprofessional conduct. I asked her why they would do that and she told me everything, for the most part. She confessed that the girl contact on her phone was actually the "guy". We moved from the area and I had our cell phone numbers changed. Also he tried to contact her on facebook so I enabled all security on facebook so he will never be able to find her in a search. She came to me and told me when he contacted her on facebook. She doesn't love this guy, but she got something from him that I couldn't give her. She never even kissed a guy before she met me? Is this some sort of acting out for not living her wild youth and I should expect more? Or do you think she just made a mistake. I forgive her, although its hard.. I feel empty inside and resent what she did. My mind trusts her but my heart doesn't. Now I have setup to track her cellphone via gps which I can check online or from my phone at any time. I know she won't cheat on me again, but she could. If she does I want to know it. So I can leave her then and there and maybe salvage something in my life. I hI haven't been nice to her through all of this although I want to be the better person and be there for her. I have tried to understand what she did and why she did it. I have called her every bad name in the book and threatened to leave her but to be honest how can I leave someone that I love so much? I have messed up a lot in our marriage and she has always been there for me.. But is this different? Cheating is the worst thing you could possibly do to someone you love in my book.I had a boss in the past that would cheat on his wife when he would go to lunch.. I would see him get in the woman's car... and it tore me up.. I hated him beyond belief for do that behind his wifes back. At any rate.. my wife says she did it because she liked attention she received from this other man.. he was very perceptive and possibly someone who does this alot. He played counselor with her mind and gained her trust and she exposed alot of personal information about our marriage to him. Basically he made her feel special and loved.. and gave her attention she didn't think she would get from another man.. I think she suffers from depression and self-esteem issues, things that have been evident since we were dating and I have always tried to help her work through.Yea I didn't realize yahoo had a character limit and about half of what I typed isnt even here.. I guess it doesn't matter. I cant get back to the page where the whole thing was showing up.. the preview page I guess. Anyways she doesn't want to tell any of her family or REAL friends what she did.. seems like she either isn't ready to or doesn't want to.. I don't know what to make of it.. I told her to take her time and decide when she wanted to tell someone that will really be affected by it. I have told my parents because I needed someone to talk to... Hopefully sleep and appetite will come back some day. I just want to be happy.. and not take her for granted... Its hard to show her that with 2 kids taking up all our time plus our jobs. Would be nice if I could work with her and be able to interact with her at work.. I think that she is a great person.. I don't want her to beat herself up forever. I want her to love me and be happy with me like I know she can and has. z moreResolved Question: dogs + old man + death = lawsuit?
This guy living a block away from me is very wealthy. He has a 10-15 foot electronic steel gate in front of his driveway. Right next door he built a house where he football player sized security guard lives. Behind huge gate are two bentley GT's, a mercedes CL 550 with AMG package and a Mercedes Maybach 57. Around those cars are 3 huge black dogs that just walk around the cars, guard them and i think they're routwillers. Very vicious, if you get close to the gate they start barking and start jumping at the gate like they want to break it down. Now the problem, The owner is currently in a huge lawsuit because of the dogs. An 80ish+ year old man has a son who lives 2 doors down from neighbor and he was passing by this guy's house, the dogs surprised him and went crazy barking and the man got scared by the surprise barks and had a heart attack and died later in the hospital. Immigration policies need to go hand-in-hand with decisions to repair the deteriorating U.S. infrastructure, according to The Twin Crises: Immigration and Infrastructure, a unique new report by Edwin S. Rubenstein to be released at a News Conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. at 1 p.m. on January 13. The report is being published by the Social Contract Press. Immigration will be responsible for more than 80 percent of the spending needed to expand infrastructure capability between now and mid-century, according to the report. Ed Rubenstein examines 15 categories of infrastructure: airports, border security, bridges, dams and levees, electricity (the power grids), hazardous waste removal, hospitals, mass transit, parks and recreation facilities, ports and navigable waterways, public schools, railroads, roads and highways, solid waste and trash, and water and sewer systems. The American Society of Civil Engineers estimates that $1.6 trillion dollars is needed to repair and maintain U.S. infrastructure in the next 5 years. The massive influx of immigrants into the U.S. is increasing the demands on an overburdened infrastructure, much of which was built shortly after World War II and is outdated and deteriorating. http://news.yahoo.com/s/usnw/20090109/pl_usnw/new_report__u_s__infrastructure_overwhelmed_by_influx_of_immigrants moreVoting Question: Muslims want to dominate the West via propaganda techniques?
http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/The-Project-(document) Swiss police found a document in 2001 written by the Muslim Brotherhood on how to take over the West through propaganda and not force. Here's how they do it: * establishment of systems for monitoring the Western Media and alerting Muslims to Islamophobia and international plots against them * keeping the Muslim community "in a jihad frame of mind" by inciting and inflaming violence, while avoiding open alliances with known terrorist organizations and individuals to maintain the appearance of “moderation” * cultivation of an Islamist intellectual community encompassing think-tanks and advocacy groups * Using deception to mask the intended goals of Islamist actions, as long as it doesn’t conflict with shari’a * Publication of academic studies legitimizing Islamist positions and chronicling the history of Islamist movements * Instituting alliances with Western “progressive” organizations * Running ideologically-committed Muslims for positions in democratically-elected institutions such as government, NGOs, private organizations and labor unions * Networking and coordination of actions with other Muslim organizations * Infiltration and assumption of control of existing Muslim organizations to realign them towards Muslim Brotherhood’s goals * Breeding a feeling of resentment towards the Jews and to refuse any form of coexistence with them * Making the Palestinian cause a global wedge issue for Muslims and adopting the total liberation of Palestine from Israel and the creation of an Islamic state as a goal * establishment of [among Muslims in the West] a parallel society where the group is above the individual, godly authority above human liberty, and the holy scripture above the laws." * Building extensive social networks of schools, hospitals and charitable organizations dedicated to Islamist ideals so that contact with the movement for Muslims in the West is constant * Creating autonomous “security forces” to protect Muslims in the West * establishment of financial networks to fund the above One of the big ones is to make Palestine a "wedge issue" to get Muslims angry at Israel and America. And it's working. What do you think? moreResolved Question: Open! Very Important! Do you support Israel's attack on Gaza?
Safa Joudeh is a journalist and resident of Gaza. It was just before noon when I heard the first explosion. I rushed to my window, barely did I get there and look out when I was pushed back by the force and air pressure of another explosion. For a few moments I didn’t understand, then I realized that Israeli promises of a wide-scale offensive against the Gaza Strip had materialized. Israeli Foreign Minister, Tzpi Livni’s statements following a meeting with Egyptian President Hussni Mubarak the day before yesterday had not been empty threats after all. What followed seems pretty much surreal at this point. Never had we imagined anything like this. It all happened so fast but the amount of death and destruction is inconceivable, even to me and I’m in the middle of it and a few hours have passed already passed. 6 locations were hit during the air raid on Gaza city. The images are probably not broadcasted in US media. There are piles and piles of bodies in the locations that were hit. As you look at them you can see that a few of the young men are still alive, someone lifts a hand here, and another raise his head there. They probably died within moments because their bodies are burned, most have lost limbs, some have their guts hanging out and they’re all lying in pools of blood. Outside my home, (which is close to the 2 largest universities in Gaza) a missile fell on a large group of young men, university students, they’d been warned not to stand in groups, it makes them an easy target, but they were waiting for buses to take them home. 7 were killed, 4 students and 3 of our neighbors kids, young men who were from the same family (Rayes) and were best friends. As I’m writing this I can hear a funeral procession go by outside, I looked out the window a moment ago and it was the 3 Rayes boys, They spent all their time together when they were alive, they died together and now their sharing the same funeral together. Nothing could stop my 14 year old brother from rushing out to see the bodies of his friends laying in the street after they were killed. He hasn’t spoken a word since. What did Olmert mean when he stated that WE the people of Gaza weren’t the enemy, that it was Hamas and the Islamic Jihad who were being targeted? Was that statement made to infuriate us out of out state of shock, to pacify any feelings of rage and revenge? To mock us?? Were the scores of children on their way home from school and who are now among the dead and the injured Hamas militants? A little further down my street about half an hour after the first strike 3 schoolgirls happened to be passing by one of the locations when a missile struck the Preventative Security Headquarters building. The girls bodies were torn into pieces and covered the street from one side to the other. In all the locations people are going through the dead terrified of recognizing a family member among them. The streets are strewn with their bodies, their arms, legs, feet, some with shoes and some without. The city is in a state of alarm, panic and confusion, cell phones aren’t working, hospitals and morgues are backed up and some of the dead are still lying in the streets with their families gathered around them, kissing their faces, holding on to them. Outside the destroyed buildings old men are kneeling on the floor weeping. Their slim hopes of finding their sons still alive vanished after taking one look at what had become of their office buildings. And even after the dead are identified, doctors are having a hard time gathering the right body parts in order to hand them over to their families. The hospital hallways look like a slaughterhouse. It’s truly worse than any horror movie you could ever imagine. The floor is filled with blood, the injured are propped up against the walls or laid down on the floor side by side with the dead. Doctors are working frantically and people with injuries that aren’t life threatening are sent home. A relative of mine was injured by a flying piece of glass from her living room window, she had deep cut right down the middle of her face. She was sent home, too many people needed medical attention more urgently. Her husband, a dentist, took her to his clinic and sewed up her face using local anesthesia 200 people dead in today’s air raid. That means 200 funeral processions, a few today, most of them tomorrow probably. To think that yesterday these families were worried about food and heat and electricity. At this point I think they -actually all of us- would gladly have Hamas sign off every last basic right we’ve been calling for the last few months forever if it could have stopped this from ever having happened. The bombing was very close to my home. Most of my extended family live in the area. My family is ok, but 2 of my uncles’ homes were damaged, We can rest easy, Gazans can mourn tonight. Israel is said to have promised not to wage any more air raids for now. People suspect that the next step w moreResolved Question: why did they delete my Question? The suicide attack, the most recent in a series that has killed more than 60 people in less than a week, was the latest to mar the transfer of many security responsibilities from the U.S. military to Iraqi forces. Iraqi security forces have deployed thousands of troops in Baghdad and in the Shiite holy city of Karbala, just south of the capital, to safeguard against attacks during the ceremonies. Attacks by al-Qaida in Iraq, Sunni insurgents and even a Shiite cult have killed hundreds of people in recent years. The attack in Baghdad's northern Shiite neighborhood of Kazimiyah, which wounded at least 72 people, comes two days after a suicide bomber slipped into a luncheon at a tribal leader's home south of Baghdad and killed at least 23 people. More than a dozen other people have died in other attacks since New Year's Day. The Iraqi military held parades to mark the anniversary of its founding 88 years ago and to celebrate a security agreement with the United States that went into effect on Jan. 1. The agreement replaced a U.N. mandate that allowed the U.S. and other foreign troops to operate in Iraq. Under the new agreement, U.S. troops will no longer conduct unilateral operations and will act only in concert with Iraqi forces. The must also leave major Iraqi cities by June and withdraw all troops by the end of 2011. In another sign of the transition in authority, the U.S. military on Sunday handed over to the Iraqi government control in Diyala Province of about 9,000 Sons of Iraq, a predominantly Sunni group of former insurgents and tribesmen whose revolt against al-Qaida in Iraq gave a significant boost to security in the turbulent province and helped turned the tide in the war against the terror group. The United States paid the group's estimated 90,000 members countrywide about $300 a month. Eventually, the members are to be either integrated into the Iraqi military and police, or provided civilian jobs and vocational training. Under the phased handover, which began last year in Baghdad, Iraqi authorities will continue that pay and education strategy. Iraqi President Jalal Talabani told Iraqi army troops during a parade marking Army Day that "the Iraqi army has gained the trust of government and Iraqi people as the army of all Iraqis." The military parade, which included recently purchased U.S. military equipment and armored vehicles, was the first since the U.S.-Iraq agreement went into effect on Jan. 1. Just as the parade took place around noon, hundreds of worshippers had gathered in Kazimiyah just a few miles to the north, home to the shrine of Imam Mousa al-Kazim, one of the holiest men in Shiite Islam. The suicide bomber was among a group of Iranian pilgrims and she blew herself up just outside the gates of the mosque, a large building graced by four minarets. The office of Iraqi army spokesman Brig. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi confirmed a woman wearing an explosives vest was responsible. Iraqi army and police put the death toll at 38, although the Prime Minister's National Operations Center said it was 36. Conflicting reports on the number of dead and wounded are common in Iraq in the chaotic aftermath of attacks. At least one report from the Health Ministry said the dead included 17 Iranian pilgrims, seven of them women. There were also seven Iraqi women killed by the blast, which sent shrapnel hurtling across the crowded square. "I saw many dead pilgrims on the ground after the explosion all covered in blood, some of them Iranians," one unidentified witness told Associated Press Television News. Thousands of pilgrims from predominantly Shiite Iran visit during Ashura, celebrated on Jan. 7 this year. The evening before the explosion, thousands of men marched through the streets of Kazimiyah rhythmically beating their chests with bare hands and slashing their shoulders with iron chains, part of ceremonies leading up to the anniversary of 7th-century death of Prophet Muhammad's grandson Hussein. He was killed in a battle on the plains of Karbala near the Euphrates River. 3 Billion Dollars in U.S. Military Aid goes to Israel every year for F-16s, Apache attack helicoptors, Hellfire Missiles and other weapons used to kill over 500 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in one week. Testimony: Five girls in one family killed by Israeli bombing Testimony, B'Tselem, 4 January 2009 Samira Tawfiq Said Balousha, 36, married with nine children, is a homemaker and a resident of Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. Her testimony was given to B'Tselem's Muhammad Sabah by telephone on 30 December 2008: My husband and I lived with our children in a three-room asbestos house in Jabaliya refugee camp. The house is next to Imad Aqel Mosque. We had nine children: Tahrir, 17, Iman, 16, Ikram, 14, Samar, 12, Samah, 10, Dunia, 7, Juhar, 4, Muhammad who's a year and a half and Bara, who's two weeks old. Last Saturday [27 December], after the Israeli bombing began and after pieces of asbestos fell from our house because of the bombing of the district-government building, my husband and I took the children and went to my father's house. We stayed there for one day and then returned home and continued our normal life -- I did house work and the girls prepared for their mid-year tests that were to take place during the week. On Monday [29 December], around 11:50pm, I woke up and heard my husband calling to me: "Samira, Samira, they shelled the mosque, get up and see, and recite the Shahada [Prayer of the dying]." It was dark, and I couldn't see anything. I recited the Shahada. I felt something heavy choking me and pressing on my body. I was buried under a concrete clock, stones, and sand, and barely managed to move. I succeeded in freeing my hand and pushed aside the things that had fallen on me. I got up and went to look for my children. I found Bara, my two-week-old daughter. She was alive, even though her bed was buried under the ruins. I saw my husband getting out of the ruins, and I handed Bara to him. I then went to look for my son Muhammad, who was sleeping next to me. At first, I didn't see him because of the rubble, but I found him alive under the ruins. I managed to free him, and I gave him to one of the people who came to help clear away the rubble. In the meantime, I continued to look for my daughters. Their bedroom was covered with blocks of concrete and stones and sand. Other people helped me look for them. I was very weak because I had been injured in the head, and I was taken to Kamal Adwan Hospital. At the hospital, I learned that five of my daughters -- Tahrir, Ikram, Samar, Dunia, and Juhar -- had been killed, and three were wounded. Muhammad was injured all over his body, mostly in the face. Israel bombed the mosque next to our house without warning and without thinking about the people who live next to it. Lots of houses in the area were damaged in the blast. http://www.btselem.org/English/ ******** Richard Falk, United Nations Human Rights Council : "The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip represent severe and massive violations of international humanitarian law as defined in the Geneva Conventions, both in regard to the obligations of an Occupying Power and in the requirements of the laws of war. Those violations include: Collective punishment - the entire 1.5 million people who live in the crowded Gaza Strip are being punished for the actions of a few militants. Targeting civilians - the airstrikes were aimed at civilian areas in one of the most crowded stretches of land in the world, certainly the most densely populated area of the Middle East. Disproportionate military response - the airstrikes have not only destroyed every police and security office of Gaza's elected government, but have killed and injured hundreds of civilians; at least one strike reportedly hit groups of students attempting to find transportation home from the University." moreResolved Question: what are Top 5 Lies About Israel’s Assault on Gaza ?
Israel’s actions, including its violation of the cease-fire, predictably resulted in an escalation of rocket attacks against its own population. The populations of the Arab nations have staged mass protests in opposition to not only Israel’s actions but also the inaction of their own governments and what they view as either complacency or complicity in Israel’s crimes. Moreover, the refusal of Arab nations to take action to come to the aid of the Palestinians is not becaLie #4) Arab nations have not condemned Israel’s actions because they understand Israel’s justification for its assault. The populations of those Arab countries are outraged at Israel’s actions and at their own governments for not condemning Israel’s assault and acting to end the violence. Simply stated, the Arab governments do not represent their respective Arab populations. The populations of the Arab nations have staged mass protests in opposition to not only Israel’s actions but also the inaction of their own governments and what they view as either complacency or complicity in Israel’s crimes. Moreover, the refusal of Arab nations to take action to come to the aid of the Palestinians is not because they agree with Israel’s actions, but because they are submissive to the will of the US, which fully supports Israel. Egypt, for instance, which refused to open the border to allow Palestinians wounded in the attacks to get medical treatment in Egyptian hospitals, is heavily dependent updependent upon US aid, and is being widely criticized within the population of the Arab countries for what is viewed as an absolute betrayal of the Gaza Palestinians. Even Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been regarded as a traitor to his own people for blaming Hamas for the suffering of the people of Gaza. Palestinians are also well aware of Abbas’ past perceived betrayals in conniving with Israel and the US to sideline the democratically elected Hamas government, culminating in a counter-coup by Hamas in which it expelled Fatah (the military wing of Abbas’ Palestine Authority) from the Gaza Strip. And Israel has bombed vast areas of Gaza, targeting civilian infrastructure and other sites with protected status under international law. No place is safe within the Gaza Strip moreVoting Question: the attacks..story from a survivor..?
It was just before noon when I heard the first explosion. I rushed to my window; barely did I get there when I was pushed back by the force and the pressure of another explosion. For a few moments I didn't understand, and then I realized that Israeli promises of a wide-scale offensive against the Gaza Strip had materialized. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzpi Livni's statements following a meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak had not been empty threats after all. What followed seems pretty much surreal at this point. Never had we imagined anything like this. It all happened so fast, but the amount of death and destruction is inconceivable, even to me and I'm in the middle of it. Six locations were hit during the air raid on Gaza City. The images are probably not broadcasted on US news channels. There were piles and piles of bodies in the locations that were hit. As you looked at them you could see that a few of the young men are still alive, someone lifts a hand here, and another raise his head there. They probably died within moments because their bodies are burned, most have lost limbs, some have their guts hanging out and they're all lying in pools of blood. Outside my home, which is close to the second largest university in Gaza, a missile fell on a large group of young men, university students. They had been warned not to stand in groups, which make them an easy target, but they were waiting for buses. Seven were killed, four students and three of our neighbour's children: young men who were from the same family, Rayes and I were best friends. As I'm writing this I can hear a funeral procession go by. I looked out of the window a moment ago and it was the three Rayes boys. They spent all their time together when they were alive, they died together and now they are sharing a funeral. Nothing could stop my 14-year-old brother from rushing out to see the bodies of his friends lying in the street. He hasn't spoken a word since. What did Ehud Olmert (Israeli prime minister) mean when he stated that we the people of Gaza weren't the enemy, that it was Hamas and the Islamic Jihad who were being targeted? Was that statement made to infuriate us out of out state of shock, to pacify any feelings of rage and revenge or to mock us? Were the scores of children on their way home from school and who are now among the dead Hamas militants? A little further down my street, about half an hour after the first strike three schoolgirls happened to be passing by one of the locations when a missile struck the Preventative Security Headquarters building, tearing into pieces the girls' bodies. People are checking the dead bodies, terrified of recognizing a family member among them. The streets are strewn with bodies, arms, legs, feet, some with shoes and some without. The city is in a state of alarm, panic and confusion, cell phones aren't working, hospitals and morgues are backed up and some of the dead are still lying in the streets with their families gathered around them, kissing their faces, holding on to them. It's truly worse than any horror movie you could ever imagine. The floor is filled with blood; the injured are propped up against the walls or laid down on the floor side-by-side with the dead. Doctors are working frantically and people with injuries that aren't life threatening are sent home. A relative of mine was injured by a flying piece of glass from her living room window, she had deep cut right down the middle of her face. She was sent home; too many people need medical attention more urgently. Her husband, a dentist, took her to his clinic and sewed up her face using local anesthesia. More than 200 people died in the air strikes. That means more than 200 funeral processions, a few on Sunday, most of them on Monday probably. To think that on Saturday these families were worried about food and heat and electricity. At this point, I think they - actually all of us - would gladly have Hamas sign off every last basic right we've been calling for the last few months forever if it could have stopped this from ever having happened. The bombing was very close to my home. Most of my extended family lives in the area. My family is okay, but two of my uncles' homes were damaged. We can rest easy, Gazans can mourn tonight. Israel is said to have promised not to wage any more air raids for now. People suspect that the next step will be targeted killings, which inevitably means scores more innocent bystanders' fate has already been sealed. This doesn't even begin to tell thsource:http://israelitybites.blogspot.com/2008/12/gaza-bleeds-under-israeli-airstrikes.htmlThis doesn't even begin to tell the story on any level. Israeli forces killed more than 370 Palestinians, destroyed more than 100 Palestinian homes and imposed ever more stringent restrictions on the movement of Palestinians. In June, the Israeli government imposed an unprecedented blockade on the Gaza Strip, virtually imprisoning its entire 1.5 million population, subjecting them to collective punishment and causing the gravest humanitarian crisis to date. Some 40 Palestinians died after being refused passage out of Gaza for urgent medical treatment not available in local hospitals. Most Gazans were left dependent on international aid for survival but UN aid agencies complained that the Israeli blockade made it difficult for them to provide the much needed assistance. In the West Bank, the Israeli authorities continued to expand illegal settlements and build a 700-km fence/wall in violation of international law. Impunity remained the norm for Israeli soldiers and Israeli settlers who committed serious abuses against Palestinians, including unlawful killings, physical assaults and attacks on property. Thousands of Palestinians were arrested, most of whom were released without charge. Those charged with security-related offences often received unfair trials before military courts. Some 9,000 Palestinian adults and children remained in Israeli jails, some of whom had been held without charge or trial for years. Attacks by Palestinian armed groups killed 13 Israelis (see Palestinian Authority entry). Background In January, President Moshe Katzav took leave of absence after the Attorney General announced he would be charged with rape. The President resigned in June after striking a plea bargain in which he admitted responsibility for lesser offences, including sexual harassment, indecent assault and harassment of a witness, in exchange for agreement that the rape charges would be dropped and he would be spared prison. One of the plaintiffs petitioned the Supreme Court to set aside the plea bargain, and women’s rights organizations called for Moshe Katzav to face trial. The case remained pending. In June, Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres was elected President. The Israeli government resumed talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA) and in November the two sides participated in an international meeting in Annapolis, sponsored by the US government, about resuming peace negotiations. However, no concrete measures were announced at the meeting. Prior Israeli undertakings to ease movement restrictions on Palestinians and to remove some Israeli settlement “outposts” had not materialized by the end of the year. In December, the Israeli authorities announced further expansion of Israeli settlements in the OPT, in violation of international law. Killings of Palestinians Frequent air strikes and other attacks by Israeli forces killed more than 370 Palestinians, including some 50 children, and injured thousands more. The Israeli authorities maintained their strikes were in response to “Qassam” rocket and mortar attacks by Gaza-based Palestinian armed groups against nearby southern Israeli towns and villages and against Israeli army positions along the perimeter of the Gaza Strip. More than half of the Palestinians killed by Israeli forces were armed militants who were participating in armed confrontations or attacks, or who were extrajudicially executed in air strikes. The rest were unarmed civilians not involved in the hostilities. Some 50 children were among those killed. Five children were killed by Israeli missiles in two separate incidents in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, in August. Mahmoud, Sara and Yahia Abu Ghazal, aged eight, nine and 11, were killed on 29 August while grazing their sheep, and Fadi Mansour al-Kafarna and ‘Abd al-Qader ‘Ashour, aged 11 and 13, were killed and a third child was injured on 21 August while playing in a field. Zaher al-Majdalawi and Ahmad Abu Zubaidah, aged 13 and 14, were killed on 1 June as they were flying kites on the beach in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza. Killings of Israelis Seven Israeli civilians and six soldiers were killed by Palestinian armed groups, the lowest annual fatality figure since the outbreak of the intifada in 2000. Shirel Friedman and Oshri Oz were killed in Sderot by “Qassam” rocket attacks on 21 and 27 May. Israel's Cabinet authorized the military to call up 6,500 reserve soldiers for a possible ground invasion and moved tanks, infantry and armored units to the Gaza border. Since it began Saturday, Israel's offensive against Gaza rocket squads has been carried out exclusively from the air. Crowds of Gazans, backed by a bulldozer, breached the border wall with Egypt to escape the chaos. Syria, reflecting the rage in the Arab world over Israel's aerial onslaught, broke off indirect peace talks with the Jewish state. The airstrikes, which initially targeted Hamas security compounds, killed more than 280 Palestinians and wounded hundreds more in its first 24 hours, said Gaza health official Dr. Moaiya Hassanain. A Palestinian human rights group said among 251 dead it counted, 20 were children under 16 and nine were women. The Palestinian Center for Human Rights said it was difficult to keep an exact count because of chaos at the hospitals, and difficulty in identifying dismembered bodies. The civilian casualties included a 15-year-old boy who died in southern Gaza on Sunday in an attack on a greenhouse near the border. At least 644 people were wounded, Hassanain said. Battered militants managed to launch more than 20 rockets and mortars at Israeli border communities. The number of attacks was down sharply from a day earlier, indicating the Israeli airstrikes took a stiff toll. Israel's head of military intelligence told Israel's Cabinet on Sunday that Hamas' ability to fire rockets had been reduced by 50 percent. Still, two rockets struck close to Israel's largest southern city, Ashdod, reaching deeper into Israel than ever before, and confirming Israel's concern that militants are now able to put major cities within rocket range. No serious injuries were reported. The rockets landed some 23 miles (38 kilometers) from Gaza, doubling the militants' previous range. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said it was unclear when the operation would end. The situation in southern Israel "is liable to last longer than we are able to foresee at this time," he told his Cabinet. The carnage has inflamed Arab public opinion, and the diplomatic fallout came swiftly. A Syrian official said Damascus would suspend indirect peace talks with Israel, begun earlier this year, over the Gaza attacks. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, says "Israel's aggression closes all the doors" to any move toward a settlement in the region. Israel and Syria held four rounds of negotiations in Turkey. Condemnations and protests against the Israeli offensive swept the Arab world for a second straight day, occasionally turning violent. A suicide bomber on a bicycle blew himself up in the midst of a large demonstration in northern Iraq. Israeli troops fired on a violent protest in the West Bank, killing a Palestinian man. Hamas' fiercest rival, the Western-backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, urged the Islamic militant group to renew a truce with Israel that collapsed last week. However, Abbas has had no influence in Gaza since Hamas seized control there by force in June 2007. The Israeli army says Palestinian militants have fired more than 300 rockets and mortars at Israeli targets over the past week and 10 times that number over the past year. Israel's foreign minister Tzipi Livni told "Meet the Press" that Israel launched its strike because Gaza's Hamas rulers were smuggling weapons and building up "a small army." But, she added, "Our goal is not to reoccupy the Gaza Strip." Israeli soldiers and settlers left the tiny seaside territory in 2005 after a 38-year occupation, though Israel retained control of Gaza's borders. The Israeli military said warplanes attacked 40 tunnels under the Gaza-Egypt border in the course of four minutes Sunday. Medics said two people were killed and 25 were injured. Witnesses reported large fires and dozens of explosions. Black smoke rising from the area of the attacks was especially dense closer to the Mediterranean, apparently after missile struck a makeshift underground fuel pipeline. I have been working for a medical company where we report drug screen results to companies when they send their employees to do drug tests. Problem is this. They don't close down the day after Thanksgiving but require their employees to come in. We're not in an industry that requires us to be there. One day is not gonna affect their pocket. We're not a clinic or hospital and national security won't be affected if they close down for a day. What they do is by 12 or 1 PM when we maybe get 4 calls they'll decide to close down but instead of paying you for the rest of the day they force you to use your own PTO (personal time off). Why should I be forced to use my PTO when the company decides to shut down? It wasn't my idea to come into work the day after Thanksgiving but you decided to shut down due to lack of call volume. This has been going on several years now from what other employees have told me. But they haven't learned their lesson that instead of opening the building paying for lights and all that stuff just give everyone the day off. This sucks.Contrary to what you beleive, I've work for several companies that shut down the day after Thanksgiving cause most of them have family and friends in town or they themselves are out of town themselves. moreResolved Question: Should I call about job position?

And my question is should I call and tell him I am still available and interested in a position or should I just not risk sounding stupid by saying that because it's been 3 months and if they want you they will call you not me call them and i dont know what the hell to say if i did call? moreResolved Question: Does this capture your attention?
I'm working on a HUGE project and would like some feedback. Let me know what you honestly think. I'm open to constructive criticism. He stared at the card and reread it for the third time "3214 67th St. Rm. 522" There had to be a mistake. He had been looking for an office building that should be at the address written. All he saw was a chain link fence surrounding an abandoned building. Decayed two by fours boarded up the ground floor windows. The windows on the other five floors looked as if a thick film was covering the glass. A few were shattered, no doubt by some adolescent teens. Still even with the aid of vandalism, the broken windows provided no indication to the inner workings of this building. From what he could tell, this sagging structure was once a hospital. How long ago, he had no way of telling. A black sign hung on the rusting fence that read 'No Trespassing' in large red print. Yes, there must be a mistake. Why would she send him here? All his other contacts had been located in office buildings downtown. This time he was staring at a rotting hospital contemplating his next move. "Hello?" he called out half expecting an answer. There was none. The building looked like it came straight from the set of an old Hitchcock movie and it was making him uneasy. He looked at the card in his hands again hoping he had read it wrong. "3214 67th St. Rm. 522" Why the hell would she send him here? Not knowing what to do, he began to walk the length of the fence. He didn't see the address anywhere on the building itself so maybe this wasn't where he was supposed to be. It was wishful thinking. He knew it had to be the right place because the building to the right had "3212" on its front, though that building seemed to be vacant as well and across the street "3213" was painted in white block lettering on the curb. No building occupied that plot – it was empty. He looked at his phone, "S***! What the hell good is it to spend two-hundred bucks on a phone that never gets a f***ing signal?!" Frustrated he kicked the fence and noticed that the top had barbed wire on it. It looked like the same type of fence you would see at a prison. It struck him as odd though. Not the barbed wire, many old buildings had barbed wire fences to keep trespassers from climbing over the top in order to vandalize the vacant edifices. He had noted earlier the broken windows but anyone could throw a rock at them. The building lacked, however, graffiti and nothing seemed to be disturbed besides the windows. But that wasn’t odd to him either. What was odd was the fence itself. It was exactly like what you'd see at a maximum security facility. There the barbed wire leaned towards the pen and subsequently the inmates it enclosed. The idea was to keep prisoners from escaping, not keep visitors from getting in. Confused, he said aloud “Why would this place need that kind of fence?” His eyes followed the wire and then to the building. A chill ran down his spine and the hairs on the back of his neck began to stand. He had a sudden urge to run, but his legs wouldn’t move. He looked at his watch – ten till six. The sun would be setting soon and he didn’t want to be here when it got dark. Still he was drawn to the building. He hadn’t realized that he had taken a step closer, until his hands felt the cold metal links. As the sun began to set, the dilapidated hospital seemed to grow before him – its shadow slowly creeping towards him. His phone beeped and pulled him from his gaze. Low battery blinked on the screen. With that he turned towards his car – his eyes never leaving the structure. As he turned the key in the ignition, he allowed himself one final glance through the rearview mirror. He thought he saw light coming from the fifth floor, but as quickly as the thought occurred, the light was gone. Slamming his foot on the gas, his car jerked violently forward. The squeal of his tires was the only thing he heard besides the blood pulsing in his ears. He had to get away. He didn’t know why he was scared, but he wasn’t about to find out, besides he had a phone call to make. “That b****, had to have given me the wrong address. No f***ing way I was supposed to meet a client here. No f***ing way!” With that, he sped off towards town. moreResolved Question: Is this a good school speech?
I’m not going to stand up here and tell you to vote for me. I’m here to tell you why to vote for me. If you’re as tired of the economy being low as I am, then you’ll help support my efforts to stop this madness. There are many problems with just saying to fix it, though. Everyone will have to do their parts. With problems such as the war in Iraq and health care that is extremely expensive, we can only do so much. We as a nation can help these problems though. A vote for (bob) is a vote that you can trust. On the topics of the war and homeland security, I promise that I’ll hire at least three-thousand additional border patrol agents through a federal grant. This will help our nation’s security and population density. I will also increase fences along the borders of the U.S. I believe in building a fence along the United States/Mexico border. I will set up stations with at least two border patrol agents per mile. Any other citizens that need job opportunities can go be a border patrol agent. I will also assemble a team of government agents to work with science-fiction writers on ways that the United States could be attacked by terrorists or terrorist groups and also think of some high-tech ways that our nation could prevent these attacks. It worked in the 1990s and I think that it will work again. Our nation is in one of the hardest times it has been in since the 1930s. I agree to establish a temporary military base in Iraq until a stable democracy is achieved. I think that if we have done this much damage to their country, that we should finish up tying the loose ends. I also will get a group of great militia to go out into Pakistan and find Al-Qaeda leaders such as Osama bin Laden. Now you may be asking yourself, “Where does this money come from?” In order to save the country some money, I will limit the health care provided at public facilities such as hospitals and after-hour clinics to U.S. residents and legal resident aliens, unless the problem is life-threatening. I will also regulate the cost charged to the consumers for drugs and costs for treatments such as therapy, rehab, emergency room visits, etc. Did you know that we are charged for one-fourth of the United States’ health care? This one-fourth that we have to pay extra in taxes is for illegal immigrants. Elimination of this percentage will cut down on our taxes. One of the taxes that will be cut is the Capital Gains Tax. The Capital Gains Tax taxes stockholders whenever they sell their stocks. For example, if I held a stock for one year compared to five years, I would pay more to sell a bad stock in one year instead of five. This is hard on low-income families and on some middle-class families. This tax will be eliminated when I’m in office. The elimination will keep our constantly changing stock market up and running. moreResolved Question: A great political "poem" it flows so well!!?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081027/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_syria_us_raid;_ylt=AvYoAP3rjnmBr.G3SPpnUzqs0NUE DAMASCUS, Syria – U.S. military helicopters launched an extremely rare attack Sunday on Syrian territory close to the border with Iraq, killing eight people in a strike the government in Damascus condemned as "serious aggression." A U.S. military official said the raid by special forces targeted the network of al-Qaida-linked foreign fighters moving through Syria into Iraq. The Americans have been unable to shut the network down in the area struck because Syria was out of the military's reach. "We are taking matters into our own hands," the official told The Associated Press in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the political sensitivity of cross-border raids. The attack came just days after the commander of U.S. forces in western Iraq said American troops were redoubling efforts to secure the Syrian border, which he called an "uncontrolled" gateway for fighters entering Iraq. A Syrian government statement said the helicopters attacked the Sukkariyeh Farm near the town of Abu Kamal, five miles inside the Syrian border. Four helicopters attacked a civilian building under construction shortly before sundown and fired on workers inside, the statement said. The government said civilians were among the dead, including four children. A resident of the nearby village of Hwijeh said some of the helicopters landed and troops exited the aircraft and fired on a building. He said the aircraft flew along the Euphrates River into the area of farms and several brick factories. The witness spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information. Another witness said four helicopters were used in the attack. Since the invasion of Iraq in 2003, there have been some instances in which American troops crossed areas of the 370-mile Syria-Iraq border in pursuit of militants, or warplanes violated Syria's airspace. But Sunday's raid was the first conducted by aircraft and on such a large scale. In May 2005, Syria said American fire killed a border guard. Syria's Foreign Ministry said it summoned the U.S. and Iraqi charges d'affaires to protest against the strike. "Syria condemns this aggression and holds the American forces responsible for this aggression and all its repercussions. Syria also calls on the Iraqi government to shoulder its responsibilities and launch and immediate investigation into this serious violation and prevent the use of Iraqi territory for aggression against Syria," the government statement said. Syrian state television late Sunday aired footage that showed blood stains on the floor of a site under construction, with wooden beams used to mold concrete strewn on the ground. Akram Hameed, one of the injured, told the television he was fishing in the Euphrates and saw four helicopters coming from the border area under a heavy blanket of fire. "One of the helicopters landed in an agricultural area and eight members disembarked," the man in his 40s said. "The firing lasted about 15 minutes and when I tried to leave the area on my motorcycle, I was hit by a bullet in the right arm about 20 meters (yards) away," he said. The injured wife of the building's guard, in bed in hospital with a tube in her nose, told Syria TV that two helicopters landed and two remained in the air during the attack. "I ran to bring my child who was going to his father and I was hit," she said. The TV did not identify her by name. The area targeted is near the Iraqi border city of Qaim, which had been a major crossing point for fighters, weapons and money coming into Iraq to fuel the Sunni insurgency. Iraqi travelers making their way home across the border reported hearing many explosions, said Qaim Mayor Farhan al-Mahalawi. The foreign fighters network sends militants from North Africa and elsewhere in the Middle East to Syria, where elements of the Syrian military are in league with al-Qaida and loyalists of Saddam Hussein's Baath party, the U.S. military official said. He said that while American forces have had considerable success, with Iraqi help, in shutting down the "rat lines" in Iraq, and with foreign government help in North Africa, the Syrian node has been out of reach. "The one piece of the puzzle we have not been showing success on is the nexus in Syria," the official said. On Thursday, U.S. Maj. Gen. John Kelly said Iraq's western borders with Saudi Arabia and Jordan were fairly tight as a result of good policing by security forces in those countries but that Syria was a "different story." "The Syrian side is, I guess, uncontrolled by their side," Kelly said. "We still have a certain level of foreign fighter movement." He added that the U.S. was helping construct a sand berm and ditches along the border. He got rob in front of his building. Neighbors then called 911 but no report was made(lazy cops) he was then release from St. Barnabas Hospital the same day. Then the following day he called 911 from my friends house(son's house) but the police officer denied to write a report because it was not place of incident (even if it same zip 3 blocks from incident same precinct 42nd). Then they went to 42nd precinct but report couldn't be file because there was not much info on hospital discharge papers. Then they went personally to social security administration for a social security card but it was deny because no proof of residency. Then they try applying for green card at www.uscis.gov, but couldn't continue process because he doesn't know his alien number. moreTop Building Security Hospital Links
